Bible Reading Resources

It is our hope and prayer that every person who attends an event at Hartland Christian Camp is transformed by the life-changing message of the Bible - not only at camp but long after they leave.

God's Word sustains us spiritually like air and food for our physical body. Have you ever felt like camp was an amazing spiritual experience followed by a big let down in your walk with God after camp is over? Spending time in His Word every day is one of the most important ways to keep us connected to God and on track in our relationship with Him. Consistent, daily time in God's Word will change our lives!

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

The Power of 4 Effect

A key discovery from the Center for Bible Engagement research is that the life of someone who engages scripture 4 or more times a week looks radically different from the life of someone who does not. In fact, the lives of Christians who do not engage the Bible most days of the week are statistically the same as the lives of non-believers. Learn more at backtothebible.org

Where to start? Open your Bible and read it! Don't close it! Leave it open in a place you'll see it every day. Maybe start in one of the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John). Just reading one chapter a day is a great place to start. Don't have a Bible? Email us, and we'll send you one for free!
